Where has the love gone?

Four years ago; Ayaa King and Darnell Jenkins married each other, while each was in their early twenties. Their parents did not approve because the two lovers had only known each other for only a month and already Ayaa was pregnant with his child.

Now it's 1976, and the family of three is living in a single-story home located in Detroit, Michigan. It had been the longest four years of their life. They were living from check-to-check while trying to pay for the bills, keep food on the table, and have enough money on the side to pay for Ayaa's shopping trips.

So, Ayaa comes up with a scheme one day that'll bring in more money into the household: Frame Darnell Jenkins for domestic violence and she's determined and will go to many lengths for her money!
