"Magick is outlawed and punishable by death, Godric, so why do we still practice?" Jynnifar asked Godric, her eyes twinkling like tiny stars, in awe of the fearless man standing in front of her.

"Because, my dear, no one can take away the gifts that have been bestowed on us, not even His Royal Highness. The gods would not have blessed us with these gifts if they did not wish for us to use them," Godric responded, smiling at his young charge as he fixed both of them a hot mug of green nettle tea. "I do not intend to cease using a gift that I have been given and I will not be told otherwise by a stupid man in a large hat."
