Ivan Yanchenko was not a poor pilot - he just had the misfortune of falling in love with the Russian Premier's daughter. Stuck forever in a MiG-21 Fishbed while his colleagues strapped on new MiG-29's, he patrolled the icy wastes of Russia's Siberian front, his career and his jet having one thing in common - both going no where fast.
