Clay, the most handsome boy of the school with a cocky attitude who is surrounded by his popular friend group and loads of girls. His life should only be amazing, right? Little did anyone know that the same boy was using makeup on a daily basis to hide his bruises while running away from home with tears rolling down his face. George, however, had quite the opposite life or... a way more similar life than any of them thought? After being bullied by the popular guys for years, George's self worth got so low that self harm seemed like the only way to escape the terrific reality... Clay has autism and finds comfort in simple things, the illuminated a fireplace on a winter's night, fish swimming and stuffed animals. However, this was all soon to change after a tragic accident. Clay finds himself alone, seeing his happiness slip away from one simple mistake. George doesn't have an easy home life, after noticing signs of possibly a muscle disease, his only wish is to get help for it, however his parents deny every word that is brought up about it. Yet, it gets worse by the day as George quickly looses any hope left. When Clay is left traumatised by his past, he thinks nothing will bring back the same happiness he once felt, but when George moves into the farm he often visits, that same joy that was extinguished with the fire, sparks again... Clay isn't able to go to school after he gets diagnosed with gastroparesis, a partial paralysis of the stomach. The daily usage of liquid food through his nose tube, extreme stomach pains and frequent throwing up are now the main topics of his life which drives him to absolute madness... After George gets kicked out from his home, he needs to live on the streets and survive on his own as an underaged boy. He starts using his money in the wrong way and eventually runs out, seeking a job as a babysitter in a family with a very sick boy. Clay does anything to enjoy life as a normal teen and acts like the funny guy who constantly jokes about his sexuality and uses a lot of pick-up lines which makes everyone laugh. When Clay is the witness of a murder at his tenth, his life seems to be over. Because of the daily death threats, blackmailing and fear he needs to live in, he decides to take drugs to calm down. Within days, he gets severely addicted to alcohol and drugs and starts stealing for his drug dealer to get more so he doesn't do anything to himself to stop the intense fear within him. George lives the absolute perfect life and doesn't know anything about problems. He thinks everyone is complaining until he finds his sibling who overdosed and then figures out Clay suffers too. He has no idea how to cope with it, but decides to do anything he can to be a better friend and brother. Clay struggles with home life, and his social life isn't the greatest either. George on the other hand is the popular kid in school, having no issues at home and no issues with his social life. The two used to know eachother, but something happened after Clay turned four and George never saw him again. What happens when the two cross paths for the first time in thirteen years? This is a very slow burn, fluff filled fanfiction, with some questionable parts, but I just wanted to make this as detailed as I could, so I'm sorry about that.
