We all grew up with stories told by the people around us. Parents, siblings, friends, teachers, neighbors. Fairytales about girls with red hoods traveling to her grandmother's house, a boy who can fly and takes kids to a magical land to fight pirates, a tale of magic beans that sprout high into the sky where the giants reside. But those are common, modern stories designed to put little kids to sleep. 

How many people know the stories of old? Or should I say; how many people THINK they know the stories of old? Stories are a way to pass down lessons, ideas, feelings to younger generations, but over time they're bound to get jumbled and muddled. 

Why are we so certain we know these stories? After all, there can be several versions of the same tale due to translation issues alone. But when you add centuries to mistranslations and going from one person to the next, you have to wonder how distorted the tales of old we hear truly are. 

And we have to wonder: what is the true story among the false one?All Rights Reserved

I'm from @Hnineihling1993 . It's my old account. I wrote some stories with that. And I still write those stories in this account too but it will be different because I edited a lot. It's a fantasy and adventure story. if you like Harry Potter, Percy Jackson and Lord of the rings, you'll like this story too. It takes place in the 2000s, almost present day. If you like teen drama, humor and adventures, this might be tested for you. Most of the towns are imaginary but I used the real map to show what towns are in which city. And this is a franchise and will have at least 10 seasons. Take time!

It was the summer of 1976 when my father left us. It was a particularly memorable summer and my mother suffered terribly. My father had left her for a younger woman and moved into her apartment which was above a flower shop where she worked. My mother struggled making ends meet and got a job as a nursing assistant at Peaceful Haven, an old folks home that still exists although it is very badly run down now. Because she could not afford a baby sitter, my mother took me to work where I sat in the lounge and watched TV and read books. On her lunch breaks she took me across the street to Faulkner Park where she made out with Fred while I wandered around eating my sandwich. But I quickly grew bored. I was 8 then, a bright young girl with an active imagination. I imagined doors in the sandbox, swings into the sky, doors to another world. And in the rooms of the old lost souls were more doors only waiting to be opened. I took those souls with me on my adventures and eased their loneliness and age with my contagious eagerness to believe anything. And then a terrible thing happened to me, so terrible I could not speak of it. I was in hospital, unable to believe anymore and my old friends came to visit me and to believe for me. I am 30 now, and as I write this and look back I wonder if I still believe. And yes, I do. Believing got me through that summer and believing got my father to come home again.

I had to leave my world behind after finding out the truth of what I was and train as hard as I could. There were people after me and my kind and I wasn't sure how to stop them. How could I protect so many and lead a brand new life myself? How do I prevent war with the world? And how will I ever be able to resist Liam's charm when every fiber of my being pulls me toward him? The supernatural isn't a myth anymore, they are real and I'm one of them. And now the whole world is after us. Note: This can be read as a standalone but you can read Taken first if you want.
