Eawynn has lived in Bebbanburg her whole life. A bastard child and half-sister to the infamous Dane slayer Uhtred Ragnarson, she has had to prove herself countless times throughout her life. Despite these challenges, the young girl prospered. And yet, she remained unsatisfied, longing to prove herself as a warrior. One day, the opportunity that she had longed for presented itself in the form of a plot to end the reign of a Danish Lord, Kjartan the Cruel, and regain Northumbria as a Saxon land. The only question was, would she take it? And if so, how far was she willing to go to fight for herself, for Wessex, and for her family?

Kidnapped at 9 years old, Runa Sigurddottir has lived most of her life among people who hate her for existing. Her only goal in life has been to return to her homeland and find her mother. Her father, on the other hand, had other ideas. He wanted her to learn to fit in, to be a real Viking. And she did, she became a fierce warrior and a seer, feared by Vikings for her skills in battle and her ability to accurately predict their future. When the day finally comes that she returns to her homeland, she is forced to choose between her as a Viking, or returning to life as a Saxon.
