After going through a bunch of training and she was arrested due to her having black blood after her going through her parents and plotting to get revenge jaha her revenge was ripped away from her by being sent to the ground where she would see her friends again and her new life would begin once she meets the commander of the 12 coalitions. With the idea of freedom, Hailey knows that she is never safe and that if weaknesses are shown, someone will use them against her. Will she be able to overcome her emotional and mental walls, even if it means that she'd be vulnerable? Being on the ground will change Hailey in ways that the people on the ark would never expect.
