[BOOK 1] "His arm reached out, and I felt his hand touch my face in the darkness of his car. Heat prickled on my skin, shooting fire to where his fingers touched my temple. I felt him tuck a strand of hair behind my ear, his touch gentle.
I felt like I couldn't breathe.
I closed my eyes, taking in his scent again. Musk and spice.
His eyes glinted at me, looking like he wanted me. Like I was forbidden fruit he couldn't touch."
