Ruth Serbel's life was turned upside down the day he fled from the World Tower. Ever since, he's lived as Wizard to Lord Calypse of Anatol.
Things in Anatol are not as quiet as they seem these days, as great threat seems to impose from all directions. Feeling the pressure, Riftan Calypse calls upon Ruth and the Knights of Remdragon to embark on an emergency expedition to a far off land, The Below.
They seek one thing: to track down a powerful wizard who Ruth hopes will be a valuable asset to Anatol. However, things are never what they seem and soon Ruth will discover what can turn friends into foes.
