Clay has always dreamt of going into the army, but there was only one thing stopping him from doing what he loved. After figuring out he was gay and wouldn't be allowed to join the army, he started feeling even more motivated to become a soldier.
After fighting for years to follow his dreams, he's finally allowed to join the army side by side a great friend he met during the boot camp. However, joining the army seems way less fun when there's suddenly a very big war beginning...
George, a young Jewish boy, is freely living his life with his best friends and his family, until he gets sent away from school for being Jewish. Both of them don't know how much misery is waiting for them, but all they do know, is that they won't give up until life forces them too...

Clay's life has never been easy after severe harm was caused by his drunk father. His mother can't decide anything at home and daily arguments go so far that his mother regularly escapes the house. Clay feels lost and starts blaming himself for all problems at home. Instead of asking someone for help, he decides to start starving himself to gain some control in his life. His attempt to lose weight goes so far that his weight drops dangerously low which leads to a forced hospital stay, causing a lot of traumatic experiences. No one seems to understand the very sick Clay and he starts slipping away more and more, not believing anyone who tells him he suffers from anorexia nervosa. Everything keeps escalating until a young boy with bulimia nervosa stays with him in his hospital room... After being outed to the only people he now disliked the most, his parents react worse than expected and Clay falls into a pit of loneliness when he gets sent to conversion therapy to "turn him straight again". George had homophobic parents too and goes through the same. When times are at its worst somehow these two meet each other and now they are isolated from reality in the therapy school. After finding out Clay has a severe and life threatening dairy allergy, he keeps getting more and more stomach aches and allergic symptoms to other foods to the point he is barely allowed to eat anything anymore. He is so sick of always feeling awful that not eating anything seems like the best way out... Sapnap went through a traumatic past and has always been ignored by his parents because his disabled brother, George, needs all the help he could get. Sapnap starts experiencing more and more problems, every now and then reverting to a younger person while he skips school to escape his bullies. Clay and Sapnap meet in an unexpected way and seem to get along very well. Clay loves taking care of George and the two finally seem to be able to talk about their hidden pain and feelings, but unfortunately, that doesn't solve the problems they go through... His daily battle with multiple disabilities doesn't make his life easy and after also being bullied, even by his own brother, he shuts down around almost everyone and develops selective mutism. Instead of talking, he starts writing to the person he wants to become friends with. George who struggles with ADHD and a mood disorder suddenly receives notes in his locker each day from an unknown person. The notes cheer him up each time and at the same time he starts becoming closer to the quiet and shy Clay. When George also becomes friends with Clay's brother, he has to choose between either him, who hates Clay, or choose for the sweet Clay. But does he fall for the manipulative behaviour of Clay's brother or does he stay loyal to Clay? Clay struggles with home life, and his social life isn't the greatest either. George on the other hand is the popular kid in school, having no issues at home and no issues with his social life. The two used to know eachother, but something happened after Clay turned four and George never saw him again. What happens when the two cross paths for the first time in thirteen years? This is a very slow burn, fluff filled fanfiction, with some questionable parts, but I just wanted to make this as detailed as I could, so I'm sorry about that.
