Eren, Mikasa, and Armin had two other friends named Hikari and Kurai Tamashi, but they completely forgot about them during that day. Hikari stayed at home, helping her mother to get better from a disease while Kurai went to pick up the prescription for his mother. Their mother didn't survive that day. Their three comrades were on their mind throughout the years they have been separated. Hikari and Kurai always thought, 'Did they make it? At least one of them had of make it?
