𝓣𝓱𝓮 𝓓𝓻𝓪𝓰𝓸𝓷'𝓼 𝓢𝓸𝓾𝓵

In 2150, humans have depleted Earth's resources and the planet is slowly dying. The Planetary Resource Administration have been mining an indestructible mineral called málmur on the planet Drekasál, a moon with only islands and water.

The atmosphere is toxic to humans, for them to explore the planet the scientists have created hybrids between human DNA and the native sapient species known as the Drengur. The ties between the invaders and Drengur is cut more with each battle, with Dr. Martha Defenders being worn thin.

Ex-marine Hayden Haddock is commissioned to take his deceased brother, Harrison Haddock's place on the mission to Drekasál to operate one of the hybrid Drengur. When he arrives he quickly is acquainted with Dr Fredrick Ingerman and Daniel Berserk, before meeting Martha, who sees the ex-marine as inadequate for this department.

While escorting the hybrids of Martha and Fredrick, Hayden is attacked by a dragon known as a Monstrous Nightmare, he fleed into the forest. He was later faced with a pack of Speed Stinger dragons where he was rescued by Astrid, a female Drengur, who saw him as loud and inconsiderate.

However, after she witnessed an auspicious sign where a rare dragon bows to Hayden, she takes him to her tribe. Astrid's mother and father, Chief Magnus and Chieftess Ingrid, see him as a threat, the shaman senses there is more to him.

Hayden asks that they at least give him a chance, Ingrid has Astrid placed as his teacher so he may learn their ways, much to her disappointment, but she agrees. The head of the PRA, Victor Grimbourn, sees this as an opportunity to gain the tribe's trust so they can be relocated so the team can mine the precious mineral.

Hayden will be put to the test, when Martha moves the team to an outpost on another island and he slowly starts to fall in love with Astrid.
