It has been 5 years since the authorities had been changed for the better.
It has been 5 years since the hierarchy was payed any heed.
It has been 5 years.... since EMBER went into hiding.
22-year-old Seraphina, now working with the Wellston Police Department, is still among those who believe that EMBER didn't really go away, and a brutal, yet mysterious murder of a young vigilante proved her point.
But with Arlo, her usual partner, working on a case of his own, Remi and Blyke having had no contact with her since 2 years, and Isen faced with the threat of his line of work being under attack of the very organisation she's after, Seraphina has no choice but to get help from an old friend, one with whom she does not get along anymore...
