"That note is definitely fake." Kaila complained. "But what if it isn't? We could be in big trouble." Ashley protested. I didn't know which side to take. "C'mon, let's go." Kaila interrupted my thoughts. "That 'ghost' thing is fake, so we don't have a reason to be scared." "Better safe than sorry Kaila." Ashley said walking towards the door. Just as soon as she touched the handle, Kaila said, "Your just too chicken, I, on the other hand, am not scared. In fact, I'll find that chest and open it to prove I'm not a scaredy cat like you!" Ashley turned around immediately and glared competitively at Kaila. "Oh yeah? Bring it on!" I knew I was going to be dragged into this, they always drag me into their messes.

An eerie silence echoed through the house at the end of Yellow Brooke Street, the wind outside slammed toward the wooden walls making a whistle inside the house from the cracked windows; the front door made a thud each time it slammed toward the wall and the screams from the dead gave the house an uneasiness to it. I stood before the house, while my friends were excited to do the exact opposite of what our parents told us to; I was not. I trusted my mother when she told us to never get close to this place. "You guys ready?" Diana said with joy in her voice, I stuttered. "No.." the fear in my voice was obvious, though no one seemed to care. Dan glanced at me and chuckled. "Really? It's just a house." "It's a haunted house." I said nervously. "Maybe we should trust our parents on this, they told us that it isn't safe for a reason." "You wimp." Diana joked, she wasn't serious; it was just to get me with them and of course she knew that it would work. "It's fine if you don't want to Luna." Lucas said, at least he was cool about it. "I-I'm not a wimp!" I stumbled on my words. "Yey!" Diana said happily and rushed toward me with her arms open. "I'll buy you McDonalds after this." I hugged her, even though I wasn't happy. I looked at the time. 12.20am
