"Kanya Daan" or "Donating Girl" is a ritual in Indian marriage. Are we girls any commodity which is transferred or donated from one house to another???

In india, parents from birth tell their daughter "betiyan toh paraya dhan hoti hai" or "daughter belongs to her in laws and are just guest in her parent's house". And in laws say " yeh toh paraya ghar se aayi hai" or " she has come from someone else's house". Where is our "apna" or "own" house??? Shouldn't after marriage a girl have two homes, double love and double support???

If she will wear short clothes, she will get raped.. You are a girl, you have to learn to adjust.. if you say things then it will lead to a fight in house so stay quiet.. Girls should be formal, cultured and silent... he is a boy he can do anything, but you are a girl you can't

And most important "log kya kehege" or "What will people say" how could I forget the key of our life.

I also used to live in this bubble until 2 years ago. I have seen these thing in someone's house who is very close to me. So, please don't give your gyaan to me.

In reality, we girls have to fight for every right we deserve be it respect, education, jobs,etc......and we will.

I started at him but he looks least bothered here, his signing column is empty but I m sure he will the happiest person after signing it. He is standing beside the girl whom he was going to get married a long ago. But they don't know that his blood is also growing inside me, the heir of this house who will be having their surname after his name After signing the papers i step out after looking at him with tears and left. He looked at her brightest smile and put his hand around her waist from behind pulling her closer. He kept his chin on her shoulder and whispered near her ears. You liked it? Yes, I liked it. You are so nice. He was happy. From "that groom is dirty" to "You are so nice" made him feel elated and accomplished at the progress. He sensuously kissed her neck and she quivered and turned around immediately. It's ticklish (she said smilingly) He sighs as she had not revolted. He pulls her veil down off her head, takes the flowers from her hand and tucks it in her head carefully. She ran and looked into the small mirror in the room happily. He goes again closer to her and takes the mirror from her hand and hangs it back on the wall. He cups her face and looks at her. You look gorgeous and smell great. She smiles and he pecks her lips. He felt excited because she didn't push him this time. He pulls her back and smooches with passion that's when she pushes him away and wipes her mouth with the back of her hand.
