One moment I'm flying through the sky on my swing, and the next I'm on the ground. This is a perfect description of my life, because today I have been diagnosed with cancer.
My questions for you: How do you respond when your "wonderful" boyfriend leaves you because you're dying? When everything you know is changing and your life is falling apart? When you can't go to school anymore because you're too ill?
But let me also ask you some pleasant questions: When a new love enters your life, would you go for it or let the opportunity pass by? Do you trust him?
These are the things that scatter around in my mind ever since that day when I was diagnosed with a heart disease. How do I make it or how do I answer these questions that have haunted my mind for seemingly an eternity, you ask?

"Leo pinned me against the wall with his hips. His hands gently gripped my wrists, keeping my arms above my head against the cool brick behind me. His quicksilver eyes were filled with such an intense, carnal desire I couldn't even look into them, so I looked over his shoulder. I saw a few kids from the group standing out by their cars who would easily be able to see what we were doing...or at least what Leo was doing to me. At that moment, my mind started wandering to all the things that I could be doing to him right now...but I stopped that train of thought immediately, as it started heading to all the wrong places... All the dirty places. I glanced back at Leo. His gaze was still as intense as it was before. He smirked at me and said confidently, "You can't ignore me forever, Ethan. You're eventually gonna fall for my charms..." Ethan Carter was focused on 2 things. 1. School (obviously) and 2. Getting over ex (it's proving to be, harder than he thought), but now he has to add dying to that list, and suddenly having feelings for a boy. Leo Malone makes Ethan feel things he's never felt for another guy. Leo's sweet, patient, and understanding...the only problem is, he's a guy. Ethan tries to ignore the fact that his heart flutters every time he sees Leo, or that he can't ever stop thinking about him, but if having cancer has taught him one thing, it's that you have to live in the present, as you may not have a future.

CRINGE WARNING! First book I ever wrote on here!! -- "Sometimes the person who you are willing to take a bullet for is the person behind the gun." I stood peering over the cold lifeless body that lay before my eyes. I had always thought of death the enemy, but right now, I blessed it upon the person who is now at peace. Sometimes you don't need to be the smartest, or the fastest, but you do need to be wisest. They say the blood runs deeper than water, and I believe it, because even though the people that we love can turn on us and begin to hate us, they are only human, meaning that soon they will begin to see how short life really is and how it is not to be wasted. People who seem perfect and they look like they have no floors'; they are the people who are suffering, like I was. But I found my savior in the most uncommon place. He was able to look through my mask, he saw the cracks, and tried to fix the broken girl that hid away deep inside the girl who only wanted to be seen as 'fine'. I slowly began to find comfort and safety in him, and I did the same to him. We were two broken people becoming whole. Someone once said when you pass, if you can count your true friends on one hand you are beyond lucky, and I even though I did not like the person that lay before me, I know that he once had true friends, including me. I'm a 17 year old girl who has suffered more than any other, beginning to believe that 'Hope' was just another word the people throw around. Until I fell in love with a badboy. "You only live once." This is the overly used excuse that we use every time we make a decision and that's fine because it's true. This also goes with 'Love'. For once in our lives, we would eventually experience this love - the kind of love that just can't die. A love, though not being returned, we are still willing to take the risk. We expect that somehow, someday we will be rewarded. But how long can we give that love a chance? Are we really capable of giving so much without asking anything in return? Are we really capable of being happy, just seeing the person we love happy with someone else? How can we untangle something so twisted like LOVE? How can we survive without breaking? How can we live without hating? Brace yourself for it will be a long roller coaster ride to what we call 'HAPPINESS' - D A L E (myLovelymind) Cover by: @ShebaHanna 🎉
