When he was younger, Grayson Ritcher had been searching for something that didn't exist. Something from his favorite childhood book. A fragment of someone's imagination. The statues of two wizards, frozen in time, mid-duel.

He never thought that he'd find it. He never dreamed that they would break free. And he surely never expected that he would suddenly be trapped in the very center of the longest, deadliest, war, in the history of magic.

Inspired by Instagram account: talon.grayson Extract from the book: Inside the cave the scene was still silent. Some lay in sleep within the pool of blood, and not a sleep they would ever awake from. Others sat in silence, utterly defeated from the half day they had spent in that room with Talon and the utter fear he had made them feel when he hunted them all down. A hunter and its prey. They had been put closer together now as well, Talon had deemed that they could talk but they were still separated enough that none was within reaching distance of the other. But they didn't want to talk. Some of them wished it would end already, like M'gann. Some were struggling to keep up their sass, like Artemis. And some were trying to stay in control, not to let their emotions get the better of them because that's the boy they raised doing this god-forsaken things to them. But the control would not last. Everyone knew that at some point the Batman was going to break. And he was going to break the hardest. So they sat there, chained and restrained in their chairs, wearily watching him as silent tears fell to the floor and mixed in with the red of their fallen friends. Jason had been walking for nearly twenty-four hours and his hopes for finding anyone in the cave alive were dwindling with each second. But he had gone and done the noble thing, he had gotten help. Maybe the three of them could stand a chance at beating Talon, maybe they wouldn't. But they had to try, it was the right thing to do. So the trio headed to the cave, not stopping to rest for the night because they could feel the danger in the air, they could tell that this strange boy that had turned up on their doorstep was telling the truth. A truth that could destroy America for good.

《 Highest Ranking: #5 in Vampire 》 "Is that Marcus? Marcus as in, from our High School Marcus!" Casey squeaked. I spun around, not quite believing her, but there he was. He strode through the school like he owned it and my god, he could've. He'd changed over the four years he'd been gone. It was like god himself had carved him from a statue. His cheekbones could cut a finger and a jaw that could slice a hand. He was taller, more muscular. He looked nothing like the boy that went away. He wore a blacket jacket and ripped jeans, his grey eyes studied the school as every female studied him. Suddenly, they slipped past every other person's eyes and landed on mine. No surprise etched his face, it was like he didn't recognise me. Until I saw the corner of his mouth lift up. ~~ Best friends, Diana and Marcus planned to do everything together. They would go to college and live in the same dorm room, they would always be best friends. But, Marcus went away. Without expecting him to return, Diana uses her heartbreak to change her life. She becomes popular in college.. Then one day, he shows up. But he's changed, he's darker, more silent and definitely a lot more hotter. He'd grown taller, his face sharper and he drew eyes from every woman on campus, even the guys. He spoke to no one and didn't even acknowledge her until she spoke to him. But something was very off. Very off, indeed. Cover Design: @newsies- Copyright @tavanalee No Rights Reserved 2018
