Coronation

Twenty-one-year-old Crown Princess Cordelia Florence Rose Palomia never had much idea of what a 'normal' life is like. Born into royalty, the eldest child and henceforth the heir to the throne, she grew up knowing that one day, she would take her father's place and rule over the kingdom. She spent her childhood, the first decade of her life, training for when that day would come. Nobody could have predicted just how soon it be.

Just days after her eleventh birthday, her life shattered into a million pieces. There was an attack. The kingdom's top enemy carried out a huge, intense ambush. Many, many lives were lost. Innocent lives. Cordelia was captured, but instead of harming her, the enemy soldiers forced her to watch as her parents were brutally murdered right in front of her.

From that point forward, Cordelia vowed that she would avenge her parents. The next ten years she would spend cleaning up the aftermath of what had happened. She was determined to make sure that nothing like this would ever happen again.

Now twenty-one years old, the time has come for her position to be made official. She was soon to be officially crowned Queen of the kingdom. Everything was going according to plan, up until just three days before the coronation, when everything fell apart.

A newly discovered prophecy stated that there was to be an attack. Only this time, they had the upper hand. They knew ahead of time. Cordelia was not going to let this advantage go to waste. She was going to use it. She was not going to let what happened a decade ago happen again.

But saving the kingdom from ruin is easier said than done. Secrets must be uncovered. New allies must be made. Unaccessed power must be unlocked. Cordelia needs to be careful whom she trusts, now more than ever. It's easy to mistake those you can trust with those you cannot. A mistake that could very well end up being fatal.
