"Princess!" he yelled after her. "Where are you going?" "Back to the castle," she replied without stopping. "Not by yourself you're not!" "I'm sorry,"-she whipped around-"I didn't realize you were my father?" "Your father, the king, would execute me for letting you travel by yourself." "Oh, so this is about self-preservation?" "Yes. Yours. There are monsters all over Hyrule now, Your Highness." Blue eyes pointedly looked her up and down. "And by the looks of it, you're not equipped to handle that." She mirrored his scrutiny and scoffed. "What, and you are?" She gestured to the cairns beyond the trees. "Are you going to protect me as well as you protected them?" Calamity is upon Hyrule. The Goddess Hylia appointed but two children to prevent the end of the world. The powers they were promised don't come easily, and after years of outright failure, Princess Zelda can't help but wonder if Hylia chose wrong. It certainly doesn't help that the boy fate has tangled her with makes her seethe. Devotion, heartbreak, inadequacy. Faith, perseverance, and courage. This is a story of finding what lies within. ~Sequel to The Silent Princess~ Hyrule has been re-built, and Zelda is now Queen, but when the pressures of ruling Hyrule gets to her head, Link suggests that they take a trip around Hyrule to take her mind off things. It has been 100 years since the Great Calamity befell the land of Hyrule, leaving the once prosperous kingdom in ruin. After a century of slumber, Link wakes up alone with no memory of who he is. The voice of the long lost Princess Zelda calls to him, telling him to save her kingdom. With nothing but his courage and his name, he takes on the responsibility to put it back on track. But as his memories begin to creep to the surface, he soon finds not all is as simple as he once thought. Will he be able to cut himself off from his feelings to complete his quest? Or will he be swallowed by them, as every new memory unlocks another secret buried in his heart? A novelization of BOTW's story. (A/N: If anyone is confused about the writing style in the first few chapters, I apologize. I wrote this fanfic when I was still very new to writing. The city of Hyrule might seem like a perfect utopia - Hylians live among Gorons, Zora, Rito and Gerudo in harmony, and people of all walks of life can live as they choose. However, recent gang violence is on the rise, and with law enforcement wholly incapable of stamping the problem down, vigilantes begin to take matters into their own hands. Link is one of these vigilantes - A first year in high school, navigating his education with his destiny.
How To Be a Prince
A story which both Zelda fans and people who don't even know what Nintendo is can enjoy. It's a princess's dream to be swooped away by her knight in shining armour, but for Zelda, this knight has to be a prince as well, in order to follow the King's rules. Link and Zelda's love is put at stake when trust and loyalty are tested. Can the two break through the laws to pursue their love, or will they give in and follow the path chosen for them? Nintendo own the characters of Link and Zelda, as well as the location of Hyrule and Hateno Village, but the rest of the character are all my own, as well as... the other location.
