For all eleven years of her life, Augie Doggie has wondered who could be her birth mother and why she isn't present in her life. But before her twelfth birthday, she finds Doggie Daddy's diary and uncovers a shocking secret: she has not one, not two, but three possible moms. In a spur-of-the-moment decision, Augie invites all three to her birthday party and doesn't tell her father. Although she has her heart set on the fact that she will instantly recognize her mom, things don't go as planned. The closer that special day approaches, the more surprising truths Augie realizes; both about her beloved father and herself.
