Hatori "Tori" Hayato just wants to get into a good art school to break free from the shackles Rintaro placed on her, as well as to better her technique. She thought that if she complied and followed all of the rules he had set in place, that she would be able to carve out her own future.

Though she wasn't expecting males she hardly knew invading her personal space as she tried to set out on making her goals a reality. Nor was she prepared for Ema to latch onto her like a leech at almost every turn. She wasn't prepared for all of this attention, and she doesn't know how to properly express her discomfort regardless of if it hurts other people's feelings.

Why couldn't anyone talk to her about art or dice games? That is where she really excels, due to being the President of the Art Club and President of the Dice Club.

Kanna Hinata is the daughter of Rintarou and the elder sister to Ema, she reluctantly moves in with her new 'brothers', due to her father getting married. While originally her outlook was bleak she soon discovered that it wasn't as bad and along her journey, she discovers feelings hidden deep within and encounters the sparks of her first love. I do not own Brother Conflict; it is only Kanna and her backstory. ------------------- "Kanna, there was something I wanted to tell you." As I carried on walking through the sparse crowd and finally stumbled upon the street that led home I listened intently to his words. "I'm getting married." At that moment in time, I never realized just how shock seemed to freeze the world, but the constant ticking of time continued. My mouth lay agape and the arm that was blocking the harsh rays of sunlight from entering my eyes fell limp at my side. Father's words had left me in a state of confusion, the cogs in my brain unable to turn fast enough to comprehend the information thrust my way. I swallowed the lump in my throat and spoke. "You're what?" A deep sigh sounded through the phone as my father responded, "I'm marrying a woman called Miwa Asahina, we'll be working out something for you and Ema to go live with your thirteen step-brothers." His response was calm beyond all reason but I couldn't withhold my shock. "You're getting married?" I practically screamed in reply. My brain stuttered for a few moments as his words replayed over and over again in my mind. This was completely unbelievable. "We have how many brothers?" Eyes and mouth frozen wide open I stood still in the street, white as chalk, and staring straight at the house I called home. There was no way in hell I wasn't dreaming. This wasn't real. I stood, unable to speak, totally stunned as thoughts bounced around inside my skull. My life was about to get a whole lot more complicated.
