You're . . . alive? (Y/n) doesn't remember how it happened. The last thing she remembered was darkness, a voice, and a deal being made. She was the outsider. The girl that sat at the back of the class and never raised her hand. The girl the sat alone at lunch because everyone thought she was weird for not speaking. She was the girl that had a million thoughts running through her head but had zero guts to say them. She was the girl you don't normally fall for but, then, she became the girl that captured the heart of the guy everyone loved. ---- "Shit, I'm sorry" A deep voice mumbled squatting down to help her up. A rough hand pulled her up and her blurry vision landed on dark eyes. She blinked a few times and her vision came back. Standing in front of her was a boy about her age. A very attractive boy. He was almost a foot taller than her 5'3 height. His black hair was slicked back and his tan skin radiated under the fluorescent school lights. Her mouth was slightly ajar as she stared at him. She hadn't realized how close she was to him until she felt his breath on her lips. She jerked away, grabbed her glasses on the floor and ran away in the opposite direction leaving the boy to furrow his eyebrows at her behavior. However, a small smirk played on his lips as he placed his hands in his jeans pockets and turned in the opposite direction. 'Stupid, Stupid, Stupid' She thought to herself.Complete
Raising Hell
"I starved myself but I never died. I have no idea how I survived that long without food. The floors I slept on where of moldy brick and sometimes a rat would curl up to my neck. I stopped caring. The warmth kept me sane." I took a deep breath and continued. "The worst part was not knowing. Not knowing what happened to my team. Not knowing happened to my city. I couldn't do anything but stare out the tiny slit of light from under the door. That was my life, that light. I didn't know what time of day it was but that light told me I was still alive. Without it would be darkness." I hear her shift in her chair but stay with my eyes closed. "I think the only thing that kept me going was the pain. It sounds strange but I loved feeling it. It made me feel alive, I still had something. It was the only thing that kept me thinking I wasn't one of the rats. Pain, I realized, was worth it. Because the pain reminded me that I was breathing and awake. And that maybe one day if I ever got out that maybe that pain would go away."Complete
