Speak

This story's first chapter isn't done yet, so for now there will just be an unfinished page of the characters and stuff. I'm slow at work, but I'll try, and hopefully get better at writing and coming up with ideas for scenes and events that happen, especially with summer right around the corner. Anyways, onto the actual description lol.

Rowan is a seemingly normal person, apart from their social anxiety and her issues with people. Though she can get anxious quite easily, she can also get angry. She has a hard time expressing these emotions, and usually ends up biting her hands, stabbing paper with pens, or finding some other way to take out her anger.

She lives in a mostly abandoned (Waitsburg-sized) town with few people, overtaken by fast-growing vines and other plants. Though it used to be more populated, something big happened and people disappeared, died, or were driven out by the mysterious events that led to this. There were some people who stayed and tried to clean up the overgrowth in some of the places around town, but they have since been forgotten. Now the people in her hometown have to hunt and gather to survive.

During a hunt, Rowan meets a girl named Maeve and quickly finds out something that they wouldn't be able to forget for a very, very long time. . .
