The wasted tears

I sat there wet tears streaming down my face, it was pointless to try and wipe them away because whenever i tried they just came again like a streaming waterfall and there was nothing i could do to stop it, there was nothing i could do to stop any of this... And thats what hurt the most. I sucked in my breath and put my face in my knees and pulled myself closer so i felt like a tiny ball in that tiny corner in that tiny closet. I sat there for what seemed forever but in reality it was only about 5 minutes. Then there was a sound down stairs that cracked open the silence like an egg, i heard my mothers voice.. I hadn't heard her comforting voice in so long... Only it wasn't very comforting now for it was contorted with sobs... Sobs that i had caused and sobs that for all i knew hadn't ceased since i left, and then a voice that i didn't recognize it was deep obviously a man and the red and blue lights flashing underneath the crack in my door gave me a clue...
