BOOM.
I heard the deafening sound of what sounded like a bomb exploding. "What was that?" My friend questioned in fear. I stared at them in confusion, silencing answering their question before my eyes widen. A tingling sensation spread over my body, the one I felt when in my Desired Reality.
My head snapped around to see her in the distance, red aura coming off her in visible waves.
Our world, 2022. A Marvel Fan living a life of hell, battling high school and mental health turns to the world of shifting for comfort. Shifting to a Desired Reality. The fan was named Dune in both realities, and Dune had made a big mistake that even her favourite sorcerer couldn't fix.

"Uh, New York, London, DC, you know all the terrible attacks? The attacks that, thank god, didn't get too much worse because of the Avengers." What. The. Heck. "Wait, wait, wait, you mean to tell me that the Avengers are real?" I ask and my mom nodded in confusion. Book 2 of the Red Whispers series! ___ At night I have these nightmares, I see a giant purple dude that looks like he has a literally nut sack for a chin, I see Vision on the ground, dead with the mind stone ripped from his head and I see the infinity stones. But whenever I see them, the mind stone seems to just glow brighter than the others, pulsating its glow. Almost like some sort of warning. I can't place my finger on it, but it definitely makes me wary of anyone around us. "Is it your head again my love?" I turn to look at her, seeing her giving me that concerned but adorable look. Prologue I used to have a nightmare when I was younger. It was always the same order and the same impact. It started with the warmth of sand consuming my feet. I looked up to see a warzone. There were flashes of fire, water, and lightning. It was like a war of the gods. Suddenly I felt the heat on my back. I turned to see neon red and yellow flames consume me. I ran to hide in the bushes that were next to me, feeling out of breath I tried to calm myself down. Strands of dark red hair covered my face. I proceeded to swipe my hair and look at my surroundings. I heard sobbing coming from near me. I trudged through the bushes and toward the sobbing when I got to under a willow tree. "Hey, are you okay?" I asked. I saw a girl with long dark red hair being the cause of the sobbing. She had a huge gash on her forehead with blood trailing down her face. She also had burns on her arms and shirt. The boy was in much worse condition. He was covered in burns, she was covering his face with only his hair showing. They both had the same colored hair. Suddenly my necklace started to glow with an amber color. The girl in front of me had a similar amber glow. Two amber crowns sat on top of the pillow. One female and one male crown sat on top of the pillow. Once I walked closer the glow came back. Once I grabbed the tiara everything became white. I was once again in another room, I attempted to move but I mysteriously couldn't. A neon purple bolt of lightning hit my chest. We both locked eyes with each other. Was that me? Before I could find out, the ground started to be drained into a whole. I was sucked into the drain and everything soon became black and I was free-falling. My back soon hit the ground of the room. Phoenix wakes, she is lying on a somewhat soft hospital bed, hooked up to machinery beeping in time with her heartbeat. It starts rapidly beeping in protest, when a flash of fear rushes through her as she realizes she is bound hands and feet to the bed. Her Phoenix and it's fire is there in an instant, but the cuffs don't relinquish. A torrent of flame erupts around her, setting fire to the mattress and sheets, but the frame doesn't budge. "Emergency fire protocol activated. Start oxygen deprivation" a computerized female voice says. Phoenix can hear a hissing sound and then instantly can't catch a breath. As her flames are extinguished, she again falls unconscious. After a rocky start with the Avengers, she found exactly the people to help her haunt the monsters of her past. "I am the monster they made, the monster they are not allowed to forget." And she finds (steamy) love with Natasha Romanoff. Phoenix is an old character of mine, who has been with me for about 15 years. She once was in a world of make belief for me, but now she has found, where she belongs. "Who are you?" I demand. The boy in front of me replies, "That's not how this works, love." I freeze. That phrase. That voice. It can't be. I look up but he's just a cloaked silhouette. The rustling stops when boys surrounding us step from their hiding spots and light lanterns. Every single one of them masked and cloaked. Except the one in front of me. The lamps lit, and I see his face. "Whoa," slips from my lips as I stare at the boy in front of me. His eyes widen and his jaw almost, just almost, drops. With his guard down for that one instant I lose all fear and gain control. "You!" I yell suddenly overflowing with anger. My stomach heats with rage. I fight to stand, stronger this time with anger as fuel. He backs up, his breath increasing. Obviously, uneasy, I take it as a win and almost stand all the way. "You. What are you doing here? How did you find this place!" He switched to angry. "You! You're the reason! They put me back because of you! It was all cause of you! It was your fault! All of it!" I'm so angry I yell only what I can. My thoughts flying through my head I can only yell unexplained nonsense. I've never felt anger like this before. The red glow lightly pours off my own skin and I take notice to it. I compare it to the glow coming off of him. Suddenly, it's an instinct to allow the anger to explode and in doing so the red glow is taken from his chest as I absorb it all and throw it out in all directions. I yank down away from the boy holding me just as the red glow gets sucked from him, absorbed into my hands, and then thrown out in a sphere of red glow. All boys stumbling but not by much and the one holding me gets knocked back, I'm free. "You die now, Peter Pan!"Concluída
