After defeating Royce Bracket inside the Transistor, effectively turning him into data, Red was freed from the domain of the Transistor. Upon returning, the city of Cloudbank has essentially turned into a blank canvas now that the Process has been dealt with. But with the Transistor still with her, Red could rebuild the great city once again, as the Transistor is essentially the key, the brush to which she could use to paint on the blank canvas, she could rewrite the city any way she wants. Her companion from within the Transistor, eager he was, as he wanted to see what Red would do with her newfound power. However, Red decided to go to the one place, the place more important than any part of the city could ever be to her, the place where she first got the Transistor and where her lover died.

Using the powers of the Transistor, Red recreated the body of her dead lover. Wanting to be with him again. As Red sat beside the lifeless body, the man within the Transistor pleaded to her, to stop what she's doing. With a final farewell, Red levitated the Transistor and aimed it at herself, the man within the Transistor now begging her to stop. With a silent goodbye, she forced the weapon to plunge into her, the Transistor absorbing her Trace, so that she could finally be with her lover, inside the Transistor. But, what if, fate had other plans for her. What if, instead of the Transistor absorbing her Trace, something else happens. As we all know, suicide is a sin.
