This is another one of my Holocaust/Auschwitz-based, fictional stories that take place in the 1940s.
Monika Emilia Ziegler was imprisoned at Auschwitz, but she escaped. Now she is on the run. She has to avoid getting caught, but that becomes a challenge when someone from her past runs into her. Just when she thought her life couldn't get any crazier, her life is turned upside down because of the person who she ran into.

But her life was quickly changed when the Nazis invaded and changed the lives of the Jews forever. She is best known for the diary she kept while in hiding behind a bookcase from 1942-1944.
