Soccer . . . soccer . . . and maybe some more soccer. That's basically what Leslie's life has been made up of. Well, that, her parents divorce when she was little, and of course, school. For teenagers, that would be considered a normal life. That is what Leslie considers it. Until the night she is driving home with her dad and they are in a terrible car accident. 
     Leslie's life is changed in a flash. Due to injuries that she acquired during the accident and how well she is facing the situation, she starts to get rejected by all her friends. But then her close friends turn their backs on Leslie because of her stubbornness to get ready for soccer tryouts instead of taking care of her body and letting her injuries heal. 
     When tryouts come around, most of her injuries have healed and she is on the field, but she is so frustrated with the way she is playing that the idea of quitting comes to her mind. Then Leslie notices she is being watched by none other than the popular Kyle Andrews, a boy she never even thought would look in her direction, much less be interested in her or her athletic abilities.
