"Odette," Father said kicking the prince in his side. 
Hunter gave a whispery groan from his place in the dirt. "Take him with you. If we wish to turn him into a weapon we must...treat him with some degree of descency. Oh, and find him some clothes while your at it," Father finished.

"But where will he stay?" 

"With you," Father said and he snapped his fingers and vanished.

Odette is half human and half fae. She was spirted away by her father after he brutally murdered her mother and declared war on the human kingdom. She both reveres and fears the high fae and her father's tumultuous rule. Then the prince of the human kingdom is captured and it sets off a chain of events that send Odette's life into an even more chaotic downward spiral. 

Prince Hunter is both hated and revered by his own people. He is hated because of a curse that has afflicted him since he was a child. The curse causes his body to grow black thorns.
