Cole was already having a weird day before Jason and Rachel showed up. They claim the game he used to play as a kid wasn't a fantasy, but reality. And the world he had saved, or at least pretended to save, was once again in jeopardy. Yeah, right. But once they convince Dalton of what they're saying, Cole has no choice but to tag along.
When Cole discovers that everything Jason and Rachel have been telling him might actually be true, he realizes he can't just 'tag along'. The fate of the Outskirts might in danger. But this one is worse than last time. Because this time, it's not just the Outskirts that are counting on them.
