"I love you so much, you'll never understand just how much I love you and how much you mean to me. You mean more to me than I could ever possibly mean to you." I press 'send' and wait for him to respond.

Seconds later, he replied: "That's not true, Sophie."

I rolled my eyes in the dark, laughing at the fact I knew he'd say just that. Unfortunately, I knew he'd never believe how much I loved him, no matter how many times I'd try to explain it or how ever long I'd spend trying to show him.

Because he wasn't the first person I've fallen in love with. Nor the second. And he won't be the last.
