George Is Adopted But His New Parents Stop Treating Him The Way They Should. Instead They Make Him Do Housework For Hours Everyday And Treat Him Like A Servant Rather Than A Child. George Accepts This And Does Whatever Is Being Told Because His Birth Parents Were Worse Than This. They Abused And Hurt Him Since He Was Little. George Is Happy To Have This Family No Matter How He Is Being Treated.
Clay Is A Normal High Schooler Who Works At A Bookstore Because Of His Passion For Literature And Writing, And Also For Extra Income. His Family Decides That Its Better If They Move To A Different Part Of The City As Both Clay's School And Work Will Be Closer That Way. What Happens When Clay Meets George, His New Neighbour?

Clay was born too early which makes him struggle a lot. His daily battle with multiple disabilities doesn't make his life easy and after also being bullied, even by his own brother, he shuts down around almost everyone and develops selective mutism. Instead of talking, he starts writing to the person he wants to become friends with. George who struggles with ADHD and a mood disorder suddenly receives notes in his locker each day from an unknown person. The notes cheer him up each time and at the same time he starts becoming closer to the quiet and shy Clay.
