There he was, a beast in all his Devine glory. Standing in a graveyard, covered in the blood of the innocent with a look of satisfaction and thirst for more. There would never be a more bone chilling image than this one.

I knew better than to run. I imagine the chase would thrill him, feed his bloodlust. Next thing I know, I'm locked inside his morally grey mansion.

Forced into a marriage with a beast that no one wanted. Except me.

I wanted him. Perhaps from the moment he stood in front of me with those cold gold eyes, staring through me like he could see into my soul. Perhaps even then, I knew. Or I had hoped.

I had spent my life locked away in the darkness.
