Beau knew her father wasn't ordinary. All her life he'd told her wonderous stories of a world alongside theirs where shifters coexisted with mages, and kings and queens ruled over their kingdoms in peace. By the time she was twenty she knew more about Etheria and its vast cultures than she knew about Earth. She just never imagined she'd actually use any of that information. After her home is attacked and her father kidnapped, she travels to the world from her childhood fantasies and discovers parts of herself she never knew existed. Not to mention she's dropped into the middle of a war for all the lives in the realm, and there's something about an arranged marriage. No big deal... Right?

"You're a Shifter." This caught me off-guard. A Shifter? I had heard of them, thieves and criminals that are able to shift to the Other Realm using shadows. Seventeen-year-old Adaria Feur is extremely confused when she wakes up in a room with no memory of how she got there, no memory of the powers everyone keeps telling her she has, and not a clue of how to survive a prestigious academy that is actually training teens into becoming agents for a secret organization called F.E.A.R. However, the thing that worries her most is the pair of amber eyes she keeps seeing in her dreams. They're so beautiful, familiar, warm... but dangerous. And she knows that they hold her whole world, whether she likes it or not.
