Gary Oak, the quintessential city kid, is forced to move to the small town of Pallet, his uncle insisting that it was a great opportunity for him. With a bubbly smile, love for animals, and a past creeping up behind him, Ash falls in love with Gary Oak, his complete opposite.

And against all odds, Gary Oak falls in love with Ash Ketchum too.
