Adeline is a good, naive girl. She's ambitious, eager to learn and has parents who intend on keeping her on the path they've chosen for her.

But she's barely begun her freshman year at college, when her dorm room-mate, Bethan Charnas, introduces her to her older brother Spencer Charnas who happens to be in town from Los Angeles.
