In a small city smothered with Smog and storm clouds much like the large city of London that we all know so well, people walking around greeting one another, different species all combined into one small community, all lead by one Cat. The townsfolk don't see him too often but every now and again he rises from the shadows to heal the broken and aid the helpless, and on this day he returned for that very reason, he was hunched over and crouched down wrapping an ankle that had been sprained during the work, the townsfolk watched as he worked his magic to fix one of their own, his cloak was draped over his body hiding his clothing and fur that lay underneath, a hood to hide his face revealing only his emerald green eyes that hold so much hate and determination though no one bothered to notice.

As he finished the last of his aid and healing he was ready to stand up and leave until suddenly a small child ran to the Cat holding out her hand to him "please sir may you take me to the park and play?" She asked so innocently but alas the Cat refused and with a shake of his head he turned to walk away.

The young girl grabbed his leg tightly hugging it "Please Sir just this once" she begged but yet again he refused, this was it her last chance, she hugged him tighter "I'm not letting go until you take me to the park" she said causing the Cat to snap turning to the child clinging to his leg and growled "I have no time for games! And I certainly have no time for you!" He yelled shoving the young girl back causing her to have no grip of his leg and fall backwards onto the ground.

The Girl sits up as all her hopes were crushed in that moment, her bottom lip began to quiver as she cried "I Hate You! I Hate you!" She screamed watching the Cat leave into the shadows once more

Fourth Book In the Arc Two of Blood of the Crescent Moon Series They made it under the dragon's shadow, their breaths quick and hearts pounding as they clung to the faint hope that Bloodmoon would never notice them again. But the land around the lake-a once-thriving sanctuary of peace-was in for a reckoning far beyond what any cat could imagine. The scars from the last battle had barely healed, and now, a far greater catastrophe loomed. This time, the forest wasn't facing a simple threat. Fire and ash had already blackened the trees and charred the undergrowth, but what came next was something else entirely. The earth felt alive with unease, the air humming with a dark, crackling energy. Bloodmoon's promise of destruction hung over them like a storm cloud, and the weight of her wrath seemed unbearable. For no one escapes fire, and no one escapes an eclipse. The pale, eerie light cast by the waning sun twisted the shadows, making even the bravest warriors shiver. And this fire wasn't just flames leaping from trees or a blaze consuming the forest-it was fire made flesh. Bloodmoon was destruction incarnate, her scales glinting like molten metal as she prowled, her breath searing the very life out of the air. The forest trembled as though it could sense its doom. The cats could only hope-hope that they could rally together, hope that their bonds would hold strong, hope that they could outlast the storm of chaos that was sure to come. But even as they whispered their prayers to StarClan and steeled themselves for what lay ahead, the truth was undeniable. Survival was not guaranteed. The odds had never been lower. And the eclipse promised that the darkest night was yet to fall.

BOOK 2 'We were both breathing heavily and there was silence throughout the crowd. No cheering, no booing - not even a whisper. Finally, when I felt Jenny's hand on my back, I had an overwhelming sense of fatigue. My vision was clouded in black spots, and I could tell Nova was struggling too, because she spread her paws, shaking her head and squeezing her eyes shut. Then, she stumbled to the ground, causing an abrupt roar of cheering on my side of the fans. "You have alot to learn, little one." I growled softly as I passed her, supported by Jenny and James. "That was wicked, Shadow. You should do that all the time, the way you.." James drones on about how awesome the battle was, though I stopped listening when he tried to act out the scene, and I just nodded as if I understood everything he was saying. "Where do you need to go? You're pretty cut up." Jenny murmured, stroking my fur as I padded slowly down to the Black Lake. "I need to hunt." I muttered weakly.' ------------------------------------------------------ Shadow Claw is in her second year of the School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, and strange mishaps begin to happen. I only just came to live here with Ivy, and I don't know many people that come to visit her yet. Do you come often? If you do, we could be friends! Would you like that? To be friends? Why, don't you speak at all? And you should really close your mouth; it is impolite to stare like that." Ivy called out to her from the doorway of the cottage. "Lilly, if you want him to speak, you must first cease speaking." Both of the women were laughing at the children, and Lilly blushed at the comment. "Sorry! I just haven't seen anyone my age yet, and I got excited, which happens rather easily. It reminds me a bit of puppies I've read about that just get so excited that they- oops. I'm doing it again. Sorry," she said with a shy smile. Adam, who had been standing there staring, just as she had pointed out, finally found his voice long enough to tell her his name. She beamed at him, saying that they would be great friends. She seized his hand and began tugging him toward the woods behind the cottage, shouting to Ivy and his mother, "We won't go far! Be back soon!" ~~~

"Do you remember calling me 'mate?'" he asked softly, pushing her wild curls away from her face. She blushed deeply, but he wouldn't let her look away. "You heard that?" He nodded with a smile. "It was the first thought she ever shared with me." Skylar pursed her lips. "She likes you very much." "What about you?" he teased gently. "How do you feel about me?" She set her jaw and once again managed to look down her nose at him while staring up at him. "Well... well, I'm rather fond of you, Orion." He let out a relieved laugh and pulled her into his chest again. "What a relief. I was worried it was just me." He nuzzled her temple, inhaling deeply, his dragon fully at peace. The words "I love you" were right on the tip of his tongue, but he knew it was too soon for that. He would have to hold them in just a little while longer. "I'm fond of you, too," he whispered in her ear. <><><><><><><><> Skylar lived her life in fear. Fear of exposure, fear of herself, and fear of her future. BOOK 1 'By this time, I had had enough and was going to make a stand. I growled, leaping to my feet and almost knocking James over. "We are never leaving this place Jenny! We're stuck here forever and you bloody well know it! Stop with your nonsense theories and plans and get your head into the real world! We. Are. Never. Leaving!" I snarled, my breathing irregular and my eyes stone-hard. James frowned, getting up and walking over to Jenny to comfort her. She was frozen with shock at my outburst, a stray tear sliding down her cheek. I had to give it to her, my words were harsher than I had expected, and she took them with a grain of salt. She was strong now; and we all knew it. "Well, if that's how you feel." She whispered, turning her back to me and allowing James to hug her, most likely more for his own comfort. Jeez. I felt so bad, that I almost apologized. But I didn't.' -------------------------------------------------------- Shadow Claw; a female creature of the race of Claws.
