Its currently 40XX and there are abilities at play. The superheroes and villains told in stories long ago are now a reality. There is still one role that no one has talked about in stories; a role that both heroes and villains similarly dislike and that is a vigilante.
I don't have a consistent schedule so bare with me :) If anyone in this story wishes for it to be deleted I will do so.

Wilbur was a hero, the second best hero to be exact. And it was his job to protect everyone that resided in his beloved city. Everything was perfect for the hero, he had a lovely father and two brothers, he had his friends, and he even had a boyfriend who he loved more than life itself! Wilbur loved his work to keep his city safe, but there was always someone trying to prevent that. Sometimes it was large villains who killed and killed, other times it was a simple thief. Sometimes, it was a shapeshifting villain who liked scarring others and ruining lives. Sometimes it was a villain who helped unlock hidden powers yet was insane enough to fight in a burning, collapsing building. Because that night, Wilbur fought alongside a way-too-young-and-way-too-familiar vigilante and his family against a famous villain with an ability so powerful it seemed fake. The world was never have been ready for Shift in the first place, Shift was the villain who's identity was so secret no one had a single lead to go attempt to catch them. In a forgotten world full of heroes, villains, and vigilantes, a world that had neither a good or bad ending, or maybe no ending at all. Who knows? A young blonde boy wakes up in the middle of the forest. He can't remember how he got there or much about himself either. His name is blank from his mind, and he can't even remember his family. His clothes are torn and dirty, and he wonders what happened. He's not hungry, but he wants a small snack, yet every apple tree and every berry bush he passes doesn't strike his fancy. He eventually makes it to a city. Large buildings are fallen over and the ones still standing have busted out windows and/or have smoke and fire coming from them. He can hear distant screams and yells and gunshots. There are people passing him that are strange. They're badly injured and walk slightly hunched over. Some are missing limbs, and some are missing and eye, or both. They don't even appear to be alive to the boy. They look his way but don't mind him. Tommy is confused and scared. He can slightly remember this place to be his once home, and it makes him upset that's it's gone to such shit, and scared by everyone's screams and the fires and the fighting, and mostly, the fact that some people are eating each other. Wilbur, Technoblade and Phil however were puzzled on how these seemingly inexperienced vigilantes kept escaping; and it has gotten to the point where they would do *anything* to get these two thorns out of their sides. But what happens if one catastrophically timed scream unravels a web of secrets and Tommy finds himself at the centre of all of it? DreamCore and L'Manburg. Two rival kingdoms that break into battle when one sends a threat and attacks the other. Many think L'Manburg has the upper hand in the battle, considering they have The Blade on their side, who knows his way around a sword like the back of his own hand. However, others say DreamCore has the upper hand, because they have the infamous Theseus on their side, who everybody fears. Yes, his name is stolen from Greek mythology, but it suits him quite well. This man is not the best with swords, but he can shoot a mean arrow. Theseus is a strange fellow. Nobody knows what he looks like, for he always wears a mask and a deep red, hooded cape. His outfit consists of his cape, knee-high brown leather boots, black leggings, and a long sleeved red and white shirt. Along with the mask, of course, which is the same color of his cape and has strings of white pearls hanging from the mask. All anybody knows of him is his blonde fluffy hair that peaks from underneath his hood, and his bright blue eyes. And also, his ability to be stupidly fast and slippery. Now back to The Blade. Ah, The Blade, the Blood God, if you will. He's fought with Theseus twice in the past, and Theseus's body language, to him, is a bit...odd. People assume Theseus is at least twenty-five years of age because of his intense fighting skills, but in reality, he's a bit small for that. When you're up close to him, enough to where you can analyze him without getting an arrow through your head, he looks quiet thin for twenty-five. Of course, though, you cannot fight in battles unless you are at least twenty, so The Blade guesses he is just a small guy. Tommy had just recently moved homes. The one he left was one full of memories. Not good ones, but not necessarily bad ones, either. He didn't have much to live for at his old home, so he moved in hope of starting over and meeting new people. He had no more family, and his school friends had long moved on from him. In fact, the only number in his contacts was his mum's who was long passed away. Tommy was young (sixteen, to be exact) and he often forgot things. Usually just as simple as forgetting to do the laundry, or forgetting to reply to a notification on his phone that he received three seconds prior. Simple things that didn't matter. This time, though, he forgot to charge his phone before leaving his new, barely furnished apartment. He didn't think much of it. If it died, it died. No biggie, right? He figured he'd be alright for an hour or so without his phone. That is, until he got lost in the large, unfamiliar town that he definitely didn't even slightly know the layout of. He didn't know where he was or how to get back to his apartment, especially without a GPS. And then, when it definitely couldn't get worse, it began to rain. Tommy was soaked. He was cold, hungry. He cut into an alley and sat down against a brick wall, curled up on himself. He sat there for a while, and then heard footsteps. It was three men. The older one crouched down in front of him. "You look awful...Come with us, mate." But Tommy didn't want to. As the years go by, in the shitty city they live in with a flawed hero system, they've decided to help those in need in the poorer parts of the city.
