In The Nick of Time

Having found a questionable disturbing truth about her father's campaign strategy, May had to stop Chanyeol from investigating it. She was certain that when you were a clueless teenage stranded in politic you understand nothing about, you had to take whatever you could get. It was easy for her. Unfortunately, it wasn't for Chanyeol.

My office is my new cave where I can hide to pretend that I'm working hard. Anyway, this isn't my dream job and it is Friday so why bother to work hard? But I didn't lie when I said I loved how they placed me at the corner of the hallway, which is much better than I imagined. There is a freedom to watch the clouds and daydream to be somewhere else, probably in my attic typing a detective story I plotted as a kid.

"May, your guest has been waiting."

But I'm here, trapped in a security company, having the opportunity to help people. But who's going to help me explain that I don't need guests?

"I thought you agreed to call me boss? And please, knock the door," I playfully tell Jongin, one of my people in the office, who happened to be my best friend. "Tell my guest, I'm busy."

"It's Professor Park, Boss." Jongin shows a smile.

That loser. "He is a professor now?"

Then, Jongin's friendly tone assures me that a few minutes won't hurt. "Chanyeol deserves another chance, May."

I nod. "Alright. A few minutes."
