As herd mother reaches the age of her natural death, she must lead her family on a harrowing quest across the desert to offer herself to their god as a ritual sacrifice. She has made this journey before, to honor the sacrificial passing of her mother and her mother's mother, but never has the journey been as dangerous or difficult as this. Crossing the desert sands for days on end is trying enough, but when a gargantuan monster begins following and attacking them, the stakes are raised even higher. Herd Mother calls upon her god for assistance, but will the God Beneath the Mountains be able to save them from their sure demise on the open sands?
