Denki Kaminari was the dumbest kid in 1A. He barely scraped by in his classes, he was horrible at following directions, and he never managed to finish the projects. The one thing he did do right was paying attention to his friends. He loved to listen to them, help them through their problems, and even make little jokes to cheer them up.
He keeps his class' troubles on his shoulders, he was the one they all vented to, and he was the fallout. What if it was all too much? What if he didn't want to be the fallout anymore? Why did he have to be the one who everyone trauma dumped on?
He was done being a tool.
[Disclaimer]
This story is my (Denki) source as I remember it! Yes, I am from an Omegaverse AU, but I don't think that should affect how you see me. If it does, then I will call you a Tetsutetsu kinnie /der.

Smile! (Sad ShinKami AU)
Kaminari has never been surrounded by people that directly intended to hurt him, but that doesn't mean he wasn't hurt - Life doesn't always work out the way we imagine it should, does it? Despite living in a world where his parents don't accept him and his only friend seems to be the poisonous voice in his head, his blinding smile never seems to fade... Trigger waring ⚠️ - depression - anxiety - self-harm - eating disorder - addiction/substance abuse Many creators like to add tags at the beginning of the chapters to warn readers of possible triggers - I will NOT be doing that since I believe it gives away the plot, therefore if you wish to read this work (thank you very much!) expect anything or all of the above to be present at different times throughout the story. This is an A.U. so please keep in mind that not everything will follow the original BNHA manga and/or anime. These characters don't belong to me Updates are once or twice a month A genuine authors note... : This is a Wattpad fanfic, and it's about as mildly decent as a fanfic can get; I'm not going to pretend I wrote the next bestseller lol This is not the worst, but it's not the best, it's not complete trash, but it's far from being a masterpiece- having said that, keep in mind that the plot and the writing are well represented by what's written above and are therefore not the worst, but not the best and not complete trash, but still far from being a masterpiece. I just wanted to write a slightly different ShinKami AU from the rest :) Cover art (done in a rush) by meComplete

The dumb blonde....
Denki Kaminari is a student at UA high school, a school for aspiring heroes and the students there are very hardworking. However, despite getting into UA, everyone sees Denki as a bit stupid, his quirk doesn't help when he goes brain dead either. He hides behind a fake smile and laughs off all of their comments and stupid remarks, but they really hurt him. Aizawa sensei is like a father figure for Kaminari, his home life isn't great, so he sees Aizawa as more of a parental figure. This is good and all, but if he disappoints aizawa, he has a full on mental breakdown, because he's disappointed the one person he sees is there for him as a parental figure. However, it's the same with his friends, if he let's them down, he gets afraid they'll leave him and forget about him, so he has a breakdown because of that. His parents' homophobia is a constant weight on his chest, and the thought of his feelings for Shinso being discovered fills him with fear. As their bond grows deeper, Kaminari must confront his fears-both of his family and of the feelings he's desperately trying to hide. shinkami. 💛💜💛💜
hiii, i decided to make a shinkami story, this is my first book, I am always open to suggestions and I hope you all like this book throughout the book we see that Denki kaminaris homelife is quite the best, his father hits him and blames him for his sister and mother's death. the only reason he doesn't tell counselors that he is being abused is that his little brother, he doesn't want to be separated in adoption homes. when shinsou is transferred to class 1a because Mineta was kicked out. He starts to see that something is masked behind that smile and bumble bee-like hair, will this tired, coffee-obsessed boy, and off-brand Pikachu learn to become great friends or perhaps.. even more than that TW!! self-harm homophobia talk of 13+ such (no not what you are probably thinking) ps. I do not own any of the characters and this book is based on my hero academia thank you so much if you read this book and like I said I'm open to any suggestions. opinion or things I can do to improve. also I don't own any of the artComplete
