Five years ago, after hundreds of years of the tyrannical rule, the Arcadia Empire was overthrown in a coup d'etat. Many only know of a Black Machine Dragon that achieved this, but there were two. A lesser known White Machine Dragon with untraceable speeds helped destroy many of the Royal families Drag-Knights. To this day, both the knight's identities remain a mystery. Out of respect and fear, the people would continue to tell the tales of these Drag-Knights, whom they called The Black Hero and The White Hero.
Follow the path of (Y/N), as he discovers his past and details that he never knew about.

{COMPLETED} The stars disappeared seventeen years ago. A black night sky has mirrored a bleak existence for the people of Auros. The Gifted, humans with unique abilities to affect the world around them, have all but become extinct thanks to the dark reign of a usurper. And somehow Zephyr Elvy has managed to live her nineteen years in the blissful quiet of a small town next to the sea. Zephyr has always been content to keep to herself, and happy to live a simple, if uneventful, life. If only the universe had that in mind for her. Forced to flee the only place she has ever called home, Zephyr finds herself running through a world she has only ever read about, along with two soldiers who have deserted their posts to keep their consciences clean. With only a letter and a mysterious weapon as clues to why she's being hunted, Zephyr must face her own fears while discovering a whole new world of terrors at the hands of a queen she knows next to nothing about. Having never risked anything her entire life, Zephyr is forced to choose between apathy or action, hiding and keeping to herself, as she has always done, or taking a leap that could change the world she is just now getting to see. ***** Thank you SO MUCH for reading! I'm updating every Monday until this story is done, and I've been sitting on this one for almost three years so I'm really excited to finish it! I don't have any beta readers for this as I write, so please let me know if you notice anything, and I mean ANYTHING, that needs fixing! :)

*****BOOK ONE****** Set in a continent called Irevalen, where the skies are ruled by dragon-shifters - immortal beings who can take human form, but never fully shed their beast. Centuries ago, a Blood Treaty was made between dragons and the last surviving human kingdom. To maintain balance and peace, a dragon from the royal bloodline must bond with a human every 500 years - not just a marriage, but a soul-binding, deep magic deal that ensures dragons don't destroy the mortal realm with their fire and fury. The catch? The human bride is always chosen by fate. No one picks. No one can refuse. Or so they say. --- 🔥 The Male Lead: Kaelith Vyron, the current heir to the SKYCOURT throne - feared warrior, emotionless strategist, and cold-blooded dragon prince. Has rejected the idea of love his whole life. Is terrified of what the soul-bond might do to him (dragons who bond can be consumed by obsession). Is pissed that fate tied him to a weak, mortal girl. Thinks she'll break. Plans to scare her off. But she doesn't. And it wrecks him. --- 🕊️ The Female Lead: Liora Vane, 22-year-old healer's apprentice from the far southern coast. Orphaned young. Grew up with books, herbs, and freedom. Hates the idea of fate deciding who she marries. Thinks dragons are cruel, inhuman monsters. When she's taken from her village and presented to Kaelith, she fights back - hard. Swears she'll never belong to him. But then... she sees pieces of his humanity. And it terrifies her more than the fire ever did.

Fairy Primrose's dragon life had never been nastier. It was never supposed to be like this. She lived in the only town in all of Dragonista where the five elements could remain in harmony. She had books to read, knowledge to study, and the most caring mother and the sweetest little brother a young dragon could ever ask for. There were occasional rumps and obstacles in her life, like how the five elements had never granted her their strength no matter how hard she tried, but those were far from raising her concern. Her life was free from adventures, and she was glad of that. But then everything changed. Something was stirring in the forest beside her home, threatening its inhabitants and the town dragons alike. Things only became worse when she learned that her un-awoken element seemed to be the key in defending everything she'd cared for from its deadly jaws. Fairy found herself thrown head-first into an adventure she never wanted. Even as she tried to dig deeper, she only received more mysteries. But she was hopeful. Every problem must have a solution, like how every story has to come to an end. Surely, she will easily find a way to find her element, make some new friends, and possibly claw out some hidden conspiracies. And after that, she would be able to return to her peaceful life once again. Silver Town will always be her home, and there was absolutely no way this small adventure will force her to leave it, or worse, kill her right on the spot. Right? ***Author's note*** This is a rewritten version of my story "Dragonista: A Tale of Light and Dark". The story has been completely overhauled, that it is now (hopefully) much more interesting to read. For those few that had read the original story, please accept my deepest thanks. You encouraged me to carry on. --Sapphire Breeze the canopy dragon
