Life for him would never be simple, never with out struggle, four years and he's spent every waking moment on his feet working, and running and paying bills and placing food on the table. It worked. Adrian may be working himself to the grave day by day, but the child never missed a meal, and the child always had a roof over his head, and the child knew how to smile and laugh and talk, he was smart and already tried to read. The baby was the only thing keeping Adrian afloat.
But what happens when the child's biological father comes back into the picture four years down the line, claiming Custody of his son he'd never even seen before? What happens when Adrians perfectly planned out life for Nate suddenly doesn't have so much of a chance anymore?
He calls a lawyer. And he fights tooth and nail for the years he's suffered for, and the years hes loved his child.
As the battle rages on in the court room, secrets spill on the stand and pasts are exposed in front of the judge. Adrian will never give up, and he will always suffer.
