My name is Emma. I don't believe in love not since he broke my heart not since my father left and my mother became a drunk, not since my brother committed suicide. Somehow I feel a connection between us and like me music is his escape. I've seen his scars and he's seen mine he's my best friend my only comfort. Until I start to want him.

I wrote this a long time ago, when I was 14/15, a time when self harm was something that seemed to just be everywhere in my life. I apologise to anyone who read this before I put this notice here, but I'm pretty sure in every chapter there is some sort of mention of mental illness/self harm. I know I could just take the story down, but it was one of the first ever stories I wrote that I liked and completed, and although I admit now it's not great, it shows progress. This was the first time I got sent to rehab, it didn't work and I came out worse. I was 16 when I tried to commit three times in the same year, the last time I got my heart to stop for 30 seconds. That year was also the first time I snorted Hydrocodone, getting me started in opiates, I experimented with Xanax and liked it. And I was a month from 17 when I got sober. - "Fuck you." I snap.
