In the fast-paced world of college athletics and media, two women are about to discover that the line between friendship and love is blurrier than they ever imagined. Paige is a driven basketball player with a dream of making it to the pros. Every shot she takes, every game she plays, is a step closer to turning her passion into reality. However, the pressure of balancing college life, a rigorous sport, and her ambitions leaves little room for anything else until Dakota enters her life. Dakota, a sports media major, is determined to carve out her path in the world of sports journalism. With a sharp eye for storytelling and a drive to succeed, she's determined to make a name for herself. Her connection to Paige starts as nothing more than a friendship, forged in the shared space of their dorm room and mutual respect's dreams. But as they spend more time together, an undeniable tension builds, and neither of them can ignore it. As Paige chases her basketball dreams and Dakota hustles to establish herself in a competitive field, their paths grow increasingly intertwined. What begins as a spark of friendship slowly kindles into something deeper. Amid late-night study sessions, on-court victories, and the pressures of college life, they begin to navigate the complex terrain of love, ambition, and self-discovery. But as their feelings for each other intensify, they must learn to balance their evolving relationship with their dreams. Can their love survive the challenges of college life, or will their ambitions pull them in separate directions? After each short chapter, a song that correlates with what happened will be at the end to listen to, this offers a deeper understanding of how the story can be perceived. Each chapter, as well as the story title, relates to a song. Both short stories and songs are an art form and are so intertwined that is why we decided to create the story this way. This is a short story, so it is a very quick read.

(Book 1 of 7) *complete* I fell for Alberta Anderson when I was a teenager, she was my childhood best friend. It was a slow and steep descent into an all-encompassing love. To be Allies favourite person in the world, and yet to yearn for more...to dare to yearn for more. It was torturous, and before I would ever get to confess it, another came along who dared to be braver than me and fell in love with her and all that she was too, my older brother Ben. Ben was sensible enough to propose and claim her for eternity with a band of gold and a seal in our temple, all at the tender age of eighteen. Our church, you know that infamous one in Utah? Yeah that one. Their wedding day would mark the day I left Utah, the church and my family, the month I announced I was gay and was sent away... there was no room for gay here...and in turn no room for me. Allie wouldn't understand, my absence, or my silence...and five years would pass...painfully for us both. Allie had a child, I went to college, feelings got left buried, but thoughts were daily, and she never left my mind...not for a day, and what I didn't know was that she was in that same place...lost and waiting for me to return. And I would return... one christmas five years later... and with me every feeling and emotion resurrected. Our teens were only the beginning because the journey to Alberta was about to span through our twenties and into our thirties. A journey home. *** Willa Jameson. When I hear that name in church one Sunday afternoon, it is five years later, five years I've not seen her but the name stirs a pain inside of me still. My life starts and ends with Willa Jameson and she has no idea. Mature content marked in chapters with a * *Completed March 2022. From birth, Trinity saw the world differently than her peers. Not that she knew much of her peers in her childhood as she was home-schooled. However, that's all in the past. She has her own business, works hard and all-in-all, she's happy. For the most part, that is. As long as she still has her seclusion for which she has worked hard and values above all else, then she will be fine. If people would just stay away... Leah has been blind her entire life but never let it hold her back as she embraced it with open arms. She hasn't ever known any differently and life is great. Or at least, it could be with these new changes. Moving to a new town, Leah is excited to begin a new life, but her family isn't exactly shy about their protectiveness of her. If only she could be somewhere, anywhere where people would treat her just as they would anyone else. As their paths cross, Leah and Trinity's lives are forever changed, some changes for the better and others still up for debate. People can sometimes surprise us in the most exhilarating of ways, however, and they are just about to find out exactly why.
