(A SHERLOCK HOLMES FAN-FIC)

A puddle splashed when a foot plunged into its centre, the foot of Mae Blaine. The rhythmic drum of footsteps, echoed off walls of the dark alleyway. She pumped an endless amount of energy into her feet; she was growing tired and limp. Her body couldn't fight with the substance inside her.
She dropped and lay on her back, useless. The mixture of drug abuse and insomniac nights had gotten to her at the worst of times as if they sensed vulnerability.
The atmosphere grew thick, with regret and unwanted happiness. She screamed soundlessly, all that was and could come out of her mouth was blood; and if no-one will find her, she will die. Her deduction skills and superior psyche were rendered simple minded.
Flash blacks played, like a broken tape on rewind stopping at one scene, repeating it over and over.
You are just like me.
You are just like me.
You are just like me.
You'll see.

"The game, Mrs Hudson, is on!" ~~~ "Tax- ugh." Sherlock says getting cut off as another body runs into him, the other person falling to the ground. "Sorry." A female voice says as she sits up. "I'm so sorry, this was my fault, I was rushing to work." She rants dusting herself off and combing the nonexistent leaves out of her long golden blonde hair. "I just-" She trails off when she finally looks up and gets a look at the person she ran into. "Hi." She breathes out smiling lightly. She was instantly drawn in by his crystal clear blue eyes that left her feeling breathless. "Hey," Sherlock replies quietly also getting lost in her blue eyes. He was just as much in awe of her and she was to him. Suddenly, he clears his throat and they both look away. "My apologies, I, um, I wasn't looking where I was going. Sherlock Holmes." He introduces holding out his hand to help her up. "Katherine, uh Kat. Kat Moore." She stutters out and takes his hand and he pulls her up so they are standing face to face. The two continue to stare at each other while holding hands until John comes limping out of the flat snapping them back into reality and breaking them up. They pull apart quickly as if hoping John didn't see their interaction. "Maybe I'll see you around?" Sherlock says as a taxi pulls up for Kat. Kat reaches out and opens the cab door. "Maybe you will." She smirks lightly and gets into the taxi. ~~~ BOOK 1 in the Katlock Series BBC Sherlock Season 1 Please vote and comment!! Beretta Holmes only wanted to live a life far away from the influence of her brothers. Holing herself up in a small town far away from Baker Street, she knows nothing of Sherlock's cases the past year and a half. And she knows nothing of his rival: James Moriarty. Working in an ice cream shop, is when she comes across the Napoleon of crime. No matter how hard she tries, she can not seem to get him out of her head. *takes place after the fall* #1 in jimmoriarty #1 in Sherlock #1 in 221b #1 in Moriarty Pictures used for cover and in the book are just ones I've gotten off google and Pinterest.
