There is no applause, no excitement.
They don't know what they're sat for yet, the cover page has only just been turned.
Unless, of course, the blurb betrayed my plot.
Their eyes scan the first line of the stage, and I wait within the words to be introduced, somewhere on that page.
They'll see me soon
And you will too
And for my audience, I'll put on a splendid show,

Things just come and go. Things pass by so fast you don't stop to look at what's happening. That's until you start to realize what's happening isn't right. ········· My husband isn't the person you think he is. It's all an act. He plays it well too. People would never believe me if I told them who he really is, they'd laugh. How he treats me isn't right, but I can't tell. Nobody would believe me. Nobody would help me. The dates match. Everything added up. How could I not realize it? The bodies. The charges. The gossip. The rumours. The accuracy. The deaths. Every single body went missing. They were right, I should have listened. I knew something was weird, but not this bad. Church on Sundays, book club on Mondays, Bible study on Wednesdays, their kids' games on Tuesdays and Thursdays, Charity donations on Fridays, and dates on Saturdays. I guess its true what they say. The biggest monsters don't hide in the darkness of your closet. Instead, they smile in your face in broad daylight. The worst demons don't conceal themselves in your shadow. They thrive in the light. The darkest souls own the brightest smiles. A light so captive, you don't even realize they've gotten so close. Don't even realize when you've befriended them and their darkness has touched you. So, Sometimes, to find the ugliest monster, you have to look in the mirror. P.S, the tags should serve as a warning as well. This story is my own, which means I own the characters, plot, etc. However, I did get some inspiration from James Patterson's WOMEN'S MURDER CLUB, just with a slight twist ;)
