Blair Carsen and Gunnar James have been best friends for as long as she can remember. Since they were little, Gun has always been the one she ran to when she fell down, when someone broke her heart, and when she lost the people closest to her. She grew up knowing that no matter what happened or how hard she broke apart, Gunnar would always be there to pick up the pieces.

What happens when he's the one doing the breaking, and doesn't even notice? What happens when Blair realizes there's more to her best friend than she ever realized? The line between friends and more has always been blurry between them, but with both teens getting ready to graduate and move on to college, the time to figure out where they stand is dwindling.

The problem is, it seems like neither one of them is willing to risk their friendship and take the first step. Is it worth it? Will they crash and burn before they even get started? If things don't work out, is Blair prepared to lose Gunnar altogether? Just when it looks like they might be moving towards more, something or someone always gets in the way.

Every time, it's the same dance. 1 step forward, and 3 steps back.
