Mystic falls hasn't been the same since Silas was defeated. Many lives lost and sacrifices made but for what? The problems didn't go away with Silas as Elena and Stefan were still trying to figure out a way to get Bonnie and Damon back. As for Caroline, she is on the edge of her own mind. Tyler chose stupid revenge fantasy on Klaus instead of her so they broke up. Now she's trying to do whatever it takes to get Bonnie and Damon back. The only problem is that she has to travel to New Orleans to get help for the problem...
