Pressure from school started to build up, he gained a rivalry with a villain who wouldn't be defeated and grew more and more difficult to beat, and the ramblings of J. Jonah Jameson slowly chipped away at the people of New York's support for him. And while Peter would never admit it, being Spiderman slowly got a bit harder. Day by day, he grew just a bit more sloppy and unfocused. Now, contrary to popular belief, Doctor Octopus wasn't always as cruel as he is today. So when a shaken and severely injured Spiderman stumbles onto his doorstep rambling about not remembering, and begging for help? When he learns that the man stopping his plans at every turn, that he was determined to slaughter, is merely a child in over his head?
